Game Daily has posted its review on Burning Horizon. The author Mike Reznick gives the game the rate of 4 out of 5 saying: "Blitkrieg: Burning Horizon was a surprising breath of fresh air in a generally overtired genre. The ability to play as the Axis along with challenging missions and an intuitive control system made this game a great pleasure to play." Read more.

Fan-site Blitzkriegmultiplayer has posted a multiplayer mod for Blitzkrieg. The mod brings changes into combat and moving characteristics of some units, and also adds new units to the game. There is a caution on the page that says: “Warning! Two more reviews on Burning Horizon were posted on the Net. Jim Richmond gave a detailed 2-page-long overview of the game on Adrenaline Vault - his conclusion is “Blitzkrieg: Burning Horizon is an engaging and challenging addition to the front lines of real-time strategy”. Reviewer Alastair Ingason for Video Games Life has not skipped a single detail as well, talking on “an interesting story”, ”visual upgrades, new units to cherish, more maps to create craters on”, and AI that “has not escaped the update”. His final verdict is also very convincing: “All these features help build a very competent and well structured strategy title, which is a must for strategy purists”.

Upon its release Burning Horizon has received high recognition from gaming press, and now it is bringing real strategy joy to the fans of the genre around the globe. Recently Burning Horizon has reached top ten best-selling games in Great Britain: In the UK it entered the charts at number 14. However, if you weed out the non-game titles, it reaches an actual chart position of number 10!

New review on Burning Horizon, the stand-alone expansion to Blitzkrieg from CDV and Nival, has been posted on eToyChest. Its author Matt Cozen gives quite a detailed analysis on the new elements of the game, concluding “Much like its antecedent, Burning Horizon is a very well done and detailed strategy game that fans of the genre will enjoy..“. The rate of 80% backs up this verdict.

Coinciding with the 60th Anniversary of D-DAY, leading European publisher CDV Software Entertainment release Blitzkrieg: Burning Horizon, a full stand alone expansion to Blitzkrieg. The release date for North America is June 8th. Burning Horizon was developed by CDV with assistance of Nival Interactive. The expansion offers a huge 18-missions-campaign around General Rommel, giving you the opportunity to play famous battles like Ardennes, Tripolis, Tobruk, El Alamein, Sicily and, of course, Normandy. The game has not failed to impress journalists, prior to its June 4th launch:
