George Ossipov, Blitzkrieg II project leader for TVG “ Moreover, for success on the battlefield you can get new promotions. The higher the rank the more expert commanders you can assign to the army. When you receive a rank of a captain you can promote two of your soldiers to sergeants of, say, assault infantry and AT artillery, which will boost respective reinforcements with such new skills and abilities as linked grenades, improved caution, aid-bands, critical hit, rapid fire, improved targeting and etc for artillery. These are just a few insights to the improvements we make with the Blitzkrieg II strategic system.” |

George Ossipov, Blitzkrieg II Project Leader for FileFront.com “In Blitzkrieg II the player chooses what missions to fight, builds his strategy on the chapter level, accumulates and uses different types of reinforcements at his free will and liking. At the start of the each chapter you’re given a number of reinforcement calls, which you can use whenever it seems necessary. If you don’t run out of the calls by the end of the chapter, you can use all the calls left in the Final Battle. Chapter maps show what missions you can play on your way to victory and what types of reinforcements and upgrade bonuses you can get for their accomplishment. This system allows player to choose the missions he wants and therefore earn those types of weapons which he likes the most and/or more proficient with. It’s like an RPG on the global level. Like aviation? Fight in those missions, which give you ground attack planes, fighters and bombers. Feel better with artillery? Engage in battles with appropriate artillery boost, collect and improve your guns and so on.” |

George Ossipov, Blitzkrieg II project leader for Gamer’s Hell “we were considering the feature of building units in Blitzkrieg II. But this would totally destroy the main concept of the game – historical accuracy, bringing in a fantastic element, as real officers of WWII could not construct bases and units. But recourse management definitely adds to the strategy, and we definitely wanted to deepen the strategic part of the game. So we are including new option to Blitzkrieg II – the ability to call for reinforcement, which is the compromise between resource management and keeping the historical part.” |

Blitzkrieg II Project Leader George Ossipov for StrategyInformer.com “All in all, there will be over 300 combat units and 60 types of infantry in Blitzkrieg II. You’ll see the majority of the units, presented in the original game, but some of them will get improved – they will change their abilities or will get some additional abilities. There will be new types of units added: ships and motor boats, tanks and artillery modifications, new types of infantry. As the theater of war gets larger, there will also be more American and completely new Japanese units. The greater the variety, the more tactical possibilities the players will have”. |

George Osipov, Blitzkrieg II project leader for HomeLAN “our main goal for Blitzkrieg II was to step up over the original and drastically improve all aspects of the game providing our players with tactical flexibility and strategic choice. We set out to take the original concept to the new, higher level, while preserving its best traditions and advantages”. |

GGMania. Blitzkrieg II Interview Blitzkrieg enjoyed very good ratings in game reviews all over the world. Blitzkrieg communities came to life in different countries. Yet many players asked for more of tactical abilities, more of 3D, greater variety of units, more war theaters, they also asked for the multiplayer to get better and cooler. We took these ideas into account. Moreover, we found out that they coincided with our image for the sequel. Well, I guess it’s only natural since we here in Nival are all seasoned gamers |
