Nival Interactive is pleased to announce a publishing agreement with CDV Software Entertainment AG for Hammer & Sickle. As part of this agreement, CDV will obtain publishing rights for Hammer & Sickle in Western Europe, the United States, Canada, Central and Southern America, Japan and Australia.
This publishing agreement builds on an established partnership between CDV Software Entertainment AG and Nival Interactive. In March 2003, CDV released Nival Interactive’s Blitzkrieg, an internationally acclaimed, highly realistic World War II RTS for the PC. That game quickly topped sales charts across Europe. The success of the Blitzkrieg franchise now includes a total of ten published and planned expansion packs.
Blitzkrieg II, the official sequel to the very successful original, is currently in development by Nival Interactive and slated for worldwide release through CDV in September 2005. The partnership between the two companies also includes Nival Interactive’s localization of a number of successful CDV titles for publication in the Russian-language market.
Hammer & Sickle is a tactical RPG based on the award-winning Silent Storm engine. The player will assume the role of a top Soviet spy on clandestine duty in the British-American controlled sector of Germany in 1949. In a world where no one is quite who they appear to be, gamers will have to navigate a web of intrigue and make decisions that could determine the fate of the world.
