| Nival Interactive announced the beginning of the third and last stage of the external beta-testing program for Evil Islands. A few most exigent and active beta-testers taking part in the two previous stages of the program today have received the game on 2 CDs. The fist disk includes the game itself, while the second one has the in-game movies, characters' speech and music. The fully interactive music of the game includes 36 individual tunes lasting for more than an hour, recorded in mp3 format. The last beta-testing stage will take two or three weeks.
23 CDs with 46 hours of live sound! The recordings for Evil Islands are successfully completed. The sound department is now in for a tough job of choosing only 6 hours out of this enormous amount to be included into the final version of the game.
"Evil Islands seems capable of satisfying the most exigent RPG fans, pleasantly adding to it the richness of tactical combat solutions within 80 non-linear quests." (Joystick #116, June 2000)

| The new wave of external beta-testers once more flooded the office. This time, the 14 new'n'fresh beta-testers received their personal versions of the game. Necessary instructions from the project lead and game designers were carefully listened to.
The first wave of the external beta-testing yielded some very fruitful results. New bugs have been reported and caught, and the mission balance has been finished. The gameplay endured certain changes as well. New artifacts have been added, and, the sweetest news for the classical RPG fans: despite the initial merciless scheme of the wicked game designers, you are to gain experience by kicking your enemy's butt!
The version the testers have just received is very close to final. The second beta-testing stage will take another three weeks. The sound recordings for the Evil Islands have started!
