Nival Interactive and Noviy Disk are pleased to announce a publishing agreement with CDV Software Entertainment AG for Night Watch in most world territories.

Night Watch is a unique tactic RPG set in the epic universe of Others, created by Russia’s modern yet already classic science-fiction writer Sergey Lukyanenko and shown in Russian blockbuster movie Night Watch that director Quentin Tarantino described as “an epic of extraordinary power".

In the Night Watch universe, there are people among us who appear ordinary, but who are different; they call themselves "Others." These Others can channel magical power as devastating attacks and defenses. Those who support the forces of light are known as the Night Watch, while those that fight on the side of darkness are the Day Watch. These two sides have been locked in an epic battle with the common hope of one ultimately claiming a decisive victory and a right to rule the world. The game will ask players to take on the role of a recently initiated Other as he strives to comprehend the mystical powers he has recently discovered, and to make sense of the role he plays in this epic struggle that could very well determine the future of mankind.

This publishing agreement for Night Watch builds on an established partnership between CDV Software Entertainment AG and Nival Interactive. In 2003-2005 CDV has released Nival Interactive’s Blitzkrieg series, an internationally acclaimed, highly realistic World War II RTS for the PC, that included two games and a number of expansions. The latest joint release of Nival Interactive and CDV Software Entertainment AG, Hammer & Sickle is a tactical RPG based on the award-winning Silent Storm engine. The game takes the player to the British-American controlled sector of Germany in 1949 in a role of a Soviet spy, where he is to navigate a web of intrigue and make decisions that could determine the fate of the world. Hammer & Sickle was released at the end of 2005 in the United States and is to hit the stores in Europe.
