Nival Network, a leading Russian game publisher and operator for the next-generation gaming and social network, ZZima.com, announced the acquisition of Nival Interactive, a world leader in the development of computer games. Both companies will be merged under the name brand, Nival, effective immediately. Nival’s combined efforts make it one of the largest Russian online game developers and publishers with headquarters in Moscow and offices in Saint Petersburg, Russia and Minsk, Belarus. The combined companies retain all trademarks and rights of Nival Interactive and Nival Network.
Nival employs more than 200 employees who are working on the cross-platform, social strategy game, Prime World, Russian-language gaming social network ZZima.com and other unannounced gaming projects.
Sergey Orlovskiy, founder and president of Nival, has been a major part of both company’s histories and it was his idea to merge them together to form a new united brand for a global audience.
“Combining some of our favorite games with modern, online technology will open a world of possibilities for us to create new and innovative projects,” Orlovskiy said. “We’re looking forward to announcing many new, interesting games and believe merging our resources, company goals and efforts can help us grow as an innovative gaming company.”
